Former Universal Motown Records rising stars, The Veer Union(TVU), have announced the title to their highly anticipated sophomore release. Divide The Blackened Sky. The album, a visceral rock experience that shows off the incredible talent of the Vancouver 5-piece, is set for release January 2012. TVU debut album titled “Against The Grain” produced a one Top 10single(“Seasons”) and two Top 25 singles(“Youth of Yesterday” and “Darker Side of Me”). Also, songs were featured on WWE, ESPN, College World Series, MLB Post Season Theme Song, Dallas Cowboys Theme song for Jason Witten, Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup Theme song, Rock Band video game song, and much more.

The Veer Union is now hiring design interns for our global design team to launch their sophomore album. As a Design intern for The Veer Union, you will work on a variety of projects such as: Re-Designing the current www.theveerunion website, Graphic Design for Banners, Album Artwork and Social Media Networks. You will work closely on the project with Crispin Earl(Lead Singer of The Veer Union) to get the band concept and vision. The design interns will receive album credits as well for theirparticipation and this will be a high profile project to add to a job portfolio.

We are a start-up company, 3 1/2 years old. We spent 2 years test marketing several different items, and we began a national marketing plan in November of 2010. We have traveled the southeastern states in our motor home attending food shows, fine art festivals, rock & country music festivals, etc., presenting our flavor profiles to the people. We have done sales calls before and after the weekend shows, and we have several retail locations in Florida, Georgia, South & North Carolina, Tennessee & Alabama. We are in year 2 of our 5-year marketing plan.

We need photographs of our 50 most popular products in a variety of sizes. We are currently in the process of setting up our web site & cataloging our final product list for application on a rack card. Credit for the photos we need will be listed on our web site, with a link to the photographer's face book page or web site.

We would like to set up a photo shoot and participate in the care of our product appearance. We have some pictures that will be needed in a particular layout for web site purposes, then the photographer will also have artistic license for a portion of the shoot to build a portfolio for themselves.

In short, Jacksonville Sister Cities Association (JSCA) is a 501-c3 nonprofit located here in Jacksonville. We are staffed entirely by volunteers, and I currently serve as President. We are not a formal part of City government, but for many years our volunteers have helped the Mayor of Jacksonville with visits from international visitors, particularly those from our Sister Cities.

We have a bit of a clunky website (www.jsca.org)  We are now revamping the website (using WordPress as our platform). We want to include a map on the site showing the location of all eight of our Sister Cities. Our current map (at bottom of this page) was done long ago, but I am hoping for something a little “nicer” for our new website. I like the idea of the map:
- Showing the entire world with continents in outline;
- Dots showing location of each of our Sister Cities;
- Each of our 8 cities clearly labeled on the map (with text all in one font/size).
- Format suitable for a web site;
- Size will be presented at about 100 percent size of map shown at bottom of this page.
- We hope to have a final version by June 30.

In short, the existing map is serviceable, but I am hoping we can have something made a little more professional and modern. Our hope is to find someone talented who will do the project gratis, perhaps for the experience and to be able to use as a portfolio piece.

The Riverside Children's Arts Center is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced individual to teach a children's cooking class during our Heathy Kids summer camp week (currently scheduled for July 25th-29th).
