ARAMARK Correctional Services is accepting applications for an immediate opening as an Hourly Food Service Cook (Entry Level). Able to cook/prep for up to 3,000 in mass production kitchen. In Duval County (Jacksonville, FL)

Prior Food Service Management and culinary experience is appreciated but not required due to ARAMARK’s extensive On-The-Job training program.

Specific job requirements:

-Cook, scratch recipes
-Supervises inmates in tray assembly.
-Ensures portions meet established guidelines.
-Ensures any special dietary requirements are fulfilled.
-Ensures timely and efficient meal service.
-Assigns and coordinates work of inmates to promote efficiency of operations.
-Trains inmates in methods of performing duties.
-Obtains accurate population counts.
-Maintains security. Ensures that all kitchen tools and equipment are returned to secure area.
-Develops sanitation schedule and ensures inmates adheres to the schedule.
-Oversees cleaning of kitchen and tray assembly area. In addition, oversees washing of kitchen utensils and equipment according to sanitary methods.
-Keep records, such as amount and cost of meals served and hours worked by employees.
-Participates in the preparation and assembly of meals and food items.
-Follows company’s Standard of Operation for food handling and storage.
-Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.

Wage $8-$10/Hour
