Stratigi Partners is currently searching for a front-end Web Designer. The Web Designer will be tasked with planning, developing, establishing, and maintaining Internet sites using technical knowledge and communications expertise to achieve marketing and informational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities for Web Designer:

In coordination with the Director of Network and Information Systems, Director of Graphic Design and other staff and clients, engage in interviews to help clarify their goals for establishing a desired Web-site.
Educate clients about the similarities and differences between Internet communications and other forms of marking and public relation efforts.
Customize plans for proposed sites using combination of graphic and written material, and modifies proposal as necessary until client is satisfied.
Designs digitized images, banners, bullets, charts, image maps and other graphics to enhance appearance of site.
Develops video and audio enhancements if desired by client.
Works with clients to select a domain name and registers the chosen name with proper authority.
Trains client’s in-house personnel to operate and update site on an independent basis.
Continues to supply consulting services as needed.
Provides marketing and promotion services such as registration of site with search engines and directories.
Updates and expands information on Web-site to attract repeat users.
Meets on a regular basis with clients to evaluate and modify site as it seems appropriate.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or graphics communication preferred.
2+ years of relevant experience required.
Knowledge of Javascript programming, HTML programming, (HTML 4.0, 5.0, and CSS 2.0, 3.0), SEO, some PHP programming (Forms, Database, and Integration), including Drupal, an open source content management system required.
Ability to convert web design created in Indesign or Photoshop to Drupal templates and themes.
Excellent verbal skills to deal with clients’ questions about Web site marketing and to translate their message to their customers in an informative and innovative manner.
Must be willing to travel and work overtime.
