Web Designer

Our client is looking for an experienced Web Designer for a 3-6 month contract opportunity in Jacksonville. Please review the job description below and apply if you're a match.



SUMMARY

Creates and designs appealing and visually rich internet marketing campaigns to support department's efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


* Design and maintain travel-related websites



* Design and optimize existing email campaigns



* Able to generate creative ideas and new concepts for marketing campaigns.



* Design and create banners



* Work in conjunction with Marketing Dept. to supply required creative materials and deploy on-time the campaigns.



* Maintain updated sites, ads, banners and email campaigns with new prices or offers.



* Produce online marketing and email campaigns to increase traffic and transactional activity on online sales websites, and deliver call volume to call center sales teams.




SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. REQUIRED:


* 2+ years Website Design

* Extensive Adobe Photoshop experience

* HTML

* CSS

* On-page SEO

* Familiarity with Social Media Marketing

* Ability to work independently




Desired, but not required:


* jQuery

* PHP

* MySQL

* WordPress customization




EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Degree from technical school or a degree in digital media, graphics design or related field; or 1 - 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Experience with Photo manipulation, correction and retouching as well as color theory.

- DBMS technology is desired but not required.



LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
