Job Description: The American Legion is a non-profit organization offering services for veterans and promoting patriotism and knowledge of the Constitution. Every year we sponsor a speech contest called The Oratorical. High school students from 9-12 give an 8 min. speech about the Constitution and can earn up to an 18,000 scholarship. I have been tasked with advertising the scholarship and need a poster that I will put up in the local high schools. It needs to be fairly conservative and not too cutting edge as it IS the American Legion! But I would like something colorful and eye catching to draw interest. I am hoping for a poster that is about 12x18 or 24x36. The poster will need to convey the basics like my number and dates--the usual who, what, where et cetera. I just want something that won't get lost in the crowd on a bulletin board. Even though I can't pay much, I am also getting some public service announcements and TV air time and I would be happy to include a push for what ever student takes this on--naming you as the person who helped create the poster and for TV, I hope they are willing to show the poster. And it's something you could add to your portfolio, too. My phone number is 904-704-0936 and my email is meriwest454@gmail.com. Thanks!
Application Process: Email Meri with a sample of your portfolio and details about how to contact you.
Comments/Questions: We need the poster no later than mid to late September.

As with all freelance, please do not proceed unless you and the client have agreed upon a price and you have a contract signed by both parties.
