We are currently seeking an experienced illustrator to complete drawings for a media communication training.
This position is on a temporary, contract basis and we would prefer an independent/freelance artist.
Estimated amount of time for this first contract is no more than 40 hours and work will be required over the next three weeks.

Drawings needed for the training include environments (ex: Radio Interview Studio), comic/cartoon character line art and other vector graphics that will be incorporated into Flash.
All art created on the contract is considered work-for-hire and will remain the property of the client who is funding the training.
Candidate should have enthusiasm for drawing, and availability for additional overflow work over the summer.

Candidate Requirements:
- Integrity and honesty
- Consistent, clear verbal and written communication
- Organized and deadline oriented
- Proficient using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or CorelDraw
- Demonstrated illustration ability through portfolio (online or .pdf submission is fine)
- Candidates with past comic or cartoon experience will have greater consideration
- We will also consider candidates or students (BFA, MFA) with less professional experience who exhibit talent and are strong in the other requirements listed

Process:
- Reply to this posting with a cover letter, your resume, and a link to an online or .pdf portfolio that includes illustration samples
- You will receive a response within 48 hours via email or phone, on whether we wish to schedule a phone interview with you
- If you are chosen from the phone interview, we will discuss next steps (including a 1-hour, compensated illustration demonstration to verify style, speed and communication)
- Based on the results of that demonstration, we will then discuss scope for the remaining contracted time and set up a schedule for deliverables

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Jonathan at (904) 292-1421 and I will return your call within 48 hours.
