Holmes Stamp & Sign Webmaster
Our definition of a webmaster is someone who builds and maintains websites. Our websites are ecommercewebsites, that will sell products made by the company. A webmaster needs to improve the performance of a website. His job description includes optimizing the website and analyzing the speed of the website. The webmaster should also study the web analytics or statistics of the web site.

Skills Needed to Become a Webmaster
The webmaster should have good command over HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and Extensible Markup Language (XML). The webmaster may also use a web development application such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Photo Shop and Corel. The website should work well for all kinds of browsers, whether it is Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari. The webmaster should be able to design graphics such as a logo for the company or a Flash intro for a website.

Job Description of a Webmaster
The roles of a webmaster are multifold. The webmaster should also be able to work as a database administrator and manage any database for the company. For example, if the database contains information about the products of the company, the webmaster should update the database if new products are added to the company's catalogue. The webmaster should also check that the website has no bugs, so a customer does not get an error if he is trying to do a transaction. The webmaster should also be able to write website content. They also need to design a home page which contains a portfolio of the websites they have designed.The webmaster position description also includes making sure that all the links are working properly.The webmaster should also track the traffic going to a website. The webmaster should use Internet search engine optimization to ensure that the website gets a high ranking on Internet search engines.

Daily Duties of our webmasters
1. Implements web pages, responsible for the deisgn of company web pages, take photos of our products – clean them up in photoshop and create landing pages for the products.
2. SEO – Each product page will be designed to maximize Search Engine Optimization
3. Circulate efficient and accurate reporting, detailing results of each web marketing campaign and possible improvement
4. Management of Pay Per Click campaigns to achieve optimum Return On Investment for
individual active search terms for each of the major search engines
5. Work closely with the Operations Director to set and ensure marketing campaigns achieve budgeted commercial targets.
6. Source and manage new revenue generating online marketing opportunities.
7. Implementing search engine optimization strategies. – which might include – link building,article submissions, landing page optimization, directory submissions ect.
8. Promoting client websites via social media – daily updated to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages – engage with customers via these channels to promote and build the brand.
