With a Nordstrom Internship, you'll get an up-close and personal view of the specialty retail business. It's a real-world perspective you won't find in any classroom.
In the Nordstrom Internship program, Retail Interns dedicate a majority of their time learning our business from the perspective of the most important job in our company- the Salesperson. Your time in the program will be dedicated to the selling floor in a specific merchandise area. Our program provides hands-on experience by working with many levels of management and being exposed to different areas of our retail business. Interns work closely with their Department Managers on assigned projects, as well as attend management meetings and training seminars.

Qualifications:
The Internship program is open to college students who will be graduating Winter 2011 or anytime in 2012, and enrolled in accredited institutions and applicable degree programs, such as retail management, fashion merchandising, organizational management, etc. We are looking for people with a passion for retail who are motivated achievers and hard-working team players. All Nordstrom Internship programs provide the opportunity for mentoring, training, and learning activities. Interns are paid a competitive wage and receive an employee discount.

The application process begins January 1, 2011 and the deadline to apply is February 28, 2010. All hiring decisions will be made by March 31, 2010 and the 12 week program starts some time between mid May to mid June depending on the region.
