Paid Internship Opportunity
American Medicals will be accepting interviews for a paid internship within our company beginning on September 3, 2012. The intern will have the opportunity to start work immediately and will continue the internship through the end of the Fall Quarter (October 1 to December 14, 2012). Please be advised there may or may not be an offer for part time employment upon completion of the internship.
American Medicals is looking for an intern who will assist our company with the following projects:
• Search engine optimization for our business website
• Modifications to marketing materials
Qualified interns must possess the following skills on an intermediate level:
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Acrobat
• Attention to detail
Search Engine Optimization for Business Website
This project is based upon an internet marketing strategy to maintain or improve the visibility of our small business website in search engine results by Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Optimizing the American Medicals website will involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to increase relevance to specific keywords, and will also remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.
The qualified intern will receive education and training on how SEO works for a small business, and will assist in the renaming of URL’s for the American Medicals website. We will have up to two members of staff act as supervisors during the entirety of the internship for this project.
Modification of Marketing Materials
This project is based upon our print marketing strategy to provide our customers with product catalogs for their healthcare facilities. Updating the American Medicals product catalogs will involve renaming items within the catalogs to separate our manufactured items from those of our competitors. There may also be the opportunity to assist with photographing and cataloging products which will be added to the catalogs.
The qualified intern will receive education and training on print marketing strategies for a distribution and manufacturing business and will primarily assist in the renaming of products within the catalogs. The intern may also assist in photographing and cataloging new instruments for the product catalogs. We will have one member of staff act as supervisor during the entirety of the internship for this project.
