The Film & Television Office is seeking interns for the 2012 Spring Semester. If you are looking for an internship in film, sports or communications, please email your resume to Sandy Ilog at @coj.net.

The two internships available at the moment are Communications Intern and Photography Intern.

Communications Intern

The intern’s primary responsibility is to assist the Film Commissioner and PR Specialist in office operations. Duties may include researching and responding to production leads, photographing various Jacksonville locations and special events, researching, writing and editing copy for our newsletter and blog, coordinating bi-monthly board meetings, coordinating marketing communications materials, organizing and maintaining photo files and miscellaneous administrative tasks.

Though this internship may provide ample opportunity to make contacts in the film industry, the job itself does not offer direct, on-set film experience. Candidates must have strong writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should be highly organized and self-motivated. This is an unpaid internship however credit is available through an accredited university.
