Job Description: Barbizon Modeling, Acting and Personal Development classes have been helping young people develop into confident adults since 1939. Barbizon has schools and satellite campuses in over 200 locations around the world. We are the oldest and largest school in the industry and have been the industry leader for over 68 years. Our goal is to empower young people to dream bigger, reach higher, exceed their own expectations, and find their inner star.
We are seeking Field Representatives for our Middle and High School Lecture Program as well as our mall/movie theater events. This is a part-time, community relations position. Field Representatives visit schools, grades 6-12, and conduct College/Career Fairs and lunch time informational sessions. Every year the Barbizon National Lecture Program awards a four year college tuition scholarship valued up to $100,000. Field Representatives distribute and collect College Scholarship entry forms from students, provide information on the Modeling/Acting/Fashion Industry and provide information on our modeling, acting and personal development classes.
There is opportunity for growth and advancement as well as the possibility for additional opportunities on the weekend with our National Promotions Program. Some travel may be required.
No recruiting or sales is required. We have an admissions department which handles our incoming leads from a variety of direct inquiries, and marketing/advertising campaigns.
Requirements
•Experience in modeling, acting, performing arts is preferred
•Experience as a youth motivational speaker
•Professional, stylish appearance
•Professional demeanor; assist in maintaining current and building new relationships with school educators and administrators
•Natural ability to connect with young people
•High energy, self-motivated, dependable, organized, ability to work independently
•Reliable transportation, ready access to phone, fax, and e-mail
•Detail oriented
•Background check required
