Position Overview:
Your role as a Store Graphic Artist/Signmaker will be to design and create graphics for promotions, store literature, and signage. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and produce signage for all departments, adhering to proper graphic standards and font usage.

Maintain visual quality and consistency for all departments.

Follow all regional signage graphic standards guidelines and procedures.

Work closely with all Team Leaders, Specialists, In-Store Systems Coordinator, and Store Marketing Director.

Perform daily store walks in all departments to check quality and appearance of signs. Replace as needed.

Produce weekly sale signs and ensure proper placement and prompt removal.

Create flyers and other marketing materials as needed, within regional graphic guidelines.

Illustrate chalkboards for display in departments.

Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.

Attend all team and store meetings as necessary

Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader (Department Manager), Associate Team Leader (Assistant Department Manager), or Supervisor.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

Proficient in Quark, Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Word. Filemaker Pro a plus.

Working knowledge of the Macintosh Computer Operating System.

Ability to work professionally and courteously with Team Leaders, specialists, and vendors.

Strong drawing or illustration abilities.

Good problem solving skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Approachable, and capable of finding solutions in a timely manner.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to type 30 words per minute.

Previous experience as a sign maker or assistant sign maker, or equivalent.

Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights and weekends as required.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.

Ability to bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted and able to push and pull carts with product weighing up to 100 pounds.
