Whole Foods Market, Jacksonville is looking for a creative and excited individual to join their marketing team as a Store Graphic Artists. As a Store Artist your responsibility would be to maintain a positive company image by providing sign support for the store. Under the direction of the Marketing Team Leader and Regional Team you would enforce regional standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining in-store communications, both computer generated and hand drawn, including flyers, shelf signs, chalkboards, and calendars.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain in-store communications by creating point-of-sale and marketing collateral using current graphic design programs and production equipment.
2. Hand-draw legible, artistic and eye-catching messaging on various surfaces such as chalkboard and glass.
3. Maintain proper public company image in the design of ads, flyers and signage for outside events.
4. Ensure that all visual materials are consistent with Whole Foods Market brand standards.
5. Work with Regional and Store Marketing Team, Team Leaders, DTS, and Store Team Leaders to execute production of all store signs, including all product signs.
6. Support all marketing programs and ensure proper placement and prompt removal.
7. Assist Regional with special projects on an as needed basis.
8. Prioritize, organize projects, and manage time effectively.
9. Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
10. Operate all Marketing equipment in a safe and proper manner.
11. Report all life safety and fire hazards for correction, along with any other violations of company policy, and report all accidents and injuries to Team Leader immediately.
12. Properly and accurately record time using time clock at the beginning and end of each shift and for unpaid meal breaks during shift.
13. Responsible for proper dress code, including non-slip shoes during each work shift.
14. Answer department telephone calls and pages quickly and with excellent phone etiquette.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Marketing Team Leader or Store Team Leaders.

Intellectual Requirements:
1. Ability to follow instructions and established uniform procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
2. Proficiency in a Macintosh environment.
3. Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop; user knowledge of Filemaker Pro; familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
4. Strong artistic and creative skills, with ability to be precise and render attractive signage.
5. Ability to interpret Team signage needs.
6. Superior spelling skills, and ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
7. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and leadership.
8. Ability to maintain professional and appropriate conduct.

Physical Requirements:
1. Must be 18 years or older and work a maximum of 8-10 hours per day.
2. Stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4 hours without a break.
3. Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
4. Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 25 pounds, and on occasion up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
5. Push and pull carts, weighing up to 100 pounds, unassisted.
6. Ability to perform job by repetitive use of right and left hands for simple grasping, power grasping, pushing and pulling and fine manipulation. While exact time may vary for each task, constant use may be anywhere from one to six hours during a work shift.
7. Must be able to consistently bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat during the course of a work shift.
8. Must be able to lift and carry loads up to 10 pounds regularly and 11-25 pounds intermittently during the course of the work shift. Distance to carry loads may range from 5-50 feet. It may be necessary to lift and carry loads on occasion up to 50 pounds for short distances.
9. Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness and to check signage and labeling for accurate pricing.
10. Demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of all related equipment.

Work Environment
1. Environmental exposure: temperature extremes (coolers, freezer, outdoors)
2. Work in a moderately noisy environment.
3. May be exposed to cleaning or other commercial chemicals, cooking oils, grease, dust and other food and cooking related substances.
4. Work on a variety of floor surfaces including tile and concrete.

Other Requirements:
1. Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
2. Willingness to receive constructive feedback pertaining to job performance.
3. Willingness to provide exemplary customer service, both to Team Members and customers, constantly and consistently.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. A desire to learn about natural and organic foods and products.
