Job Duties:

- Responsible for assisting the Customer Service Sales Manager in maintaining Food Lion customer service standards, completing service center duties, maximizing sales by providing extraordinary customer service and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of Standard Practices, along with providing quality customer service.

- Ensure Food Lion standards of customer service are met. Engage and interact with customers to create a positive shopping experience.

- Ensure all Service Center functions are completed correctly. Services can include, but may not be available in all stores: Payroll check cashing, Western Union money transfers, money orders and bill payments, Blue Rhino, refunds, Rug Doctor, Coinstar, copiers, postage stamps, prepaid cellular, prepaid Master Card, DVD rental, rainchecks, MVP, bad check payments, charge sales, wholesales, shipping and Cart Smart.

- Maintain current knowledge of Service Center procedures and policies relating to:
Customer service standards, check cashing policies and manager override functions.

- Assist in training new Service Center Associates.

- Assist in maintenance and cleanliness of Service Center and related equipment.

- Assist in the inventory and ordering of supplies for the Service Center.

- Perform the Sales Associate and Service Associate duties as necessary.

- Find more ways to do the job and seek to reduce costs and improve labor productivity.

- Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices.

Job Requirements:

- Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions.
- Ability to meet production standards established by Food Lion.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to use the In-Store Computer, IBM Supermarket Application and all Service
Center equipment.
- Ability to complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Aid courses.
