Job Description: The Design Consultant is responsible for generating revenue and margin through effective selling skills, product knowledge and a clear understanding of our customers needs. They are responsible for meeting the productivity standards set by the Design Center Manager in line with company objectives. They are charged with providing exceptional customer service to each home owner and consistently support the RAH brand process and procedure. The Design Consultant acts as the face of Richmond Homes as is a critical link in to customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions: Meets with RAH home buyers to guide them through the selection process and effectively sell upgrades to enhance the value of each home.

Meet and or exceed the established sales goals for each sales transaction and meet monthly/quarterly/yearly goals set by the management.

Data entry of all customer orders in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.

Extensive and current product knowledge to help direct and upgrade home buyer selections. Other Responsibilities: View new community product and upcoming home closings to stay current on product mix and product installations Fosters Company objectives in a friendly, positive and effective manner As needed, meet with vendors to maximize revenue opportunities Provide exceptional customer service to RAH/MDC internal and external customers

Scope: Contributes through specific expertise at the individual level. Has no supervisory responsibility. Coordinates and directs business partners. WEEKENDS REQUIRED

Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelors or equivalency

Experience: 1-2 years selling skills in builder design center, retail design center or equivalency, with a strong focus on revenue goals and customer service.

Skill in: Candidate must have excellent selling, organizational and communications skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Strong numeric orientation required. Computer skills required. Ability to effectively sell/promote products that contribute to the success of the Design Center and foster customer satisfaction.
