Five Alive Films, a Jacksonville, Florida, based production company, is seeking driven interns to assist in the production of their first feature film Truly Everlasting. This is an awesome opportunity to learn about independent filmmaking as well as to get a head start in the entertainment industry. You will learn the ins and outs of modern small budget filmmaking including producing, promotions, set organization, time management, maintaining film continuity and creating web based entertainment. By getting involved with our project, you will become more knowledgeable than the competition.

We have three positions that are available:

Also, they would be allowed to create original edited programming for “FAT!,” Five Alive Films’ web based channel. Applicant should be skilled in video editing, camera handling, Final Cut Pro, some After Effects, and web/video upload. It is preferred the applicant has own equipment such as a camera and laptop with editing program.
2. Assistant Script Supervisor: This person would be responsible for timing takes, recording information about the shot, working with the editor, organizing scene notes, and logging information regarding the production. Applicant must be extremely detail oriented. This person’s notes will be greatly utilized in postproduction
3. Associate producer: This person will assist the producer and the production manager in set management and organization. This applicant will work closely with the director and the above-the-lines to implement all needed activities for the production’s success. Also, this person will stand in for the producer or production manager if needed.

The guidelines of the program are as follows: Applicants may be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Alumni and recent graduates may apply. Students may receive academic credit through their college/university for participating in the program. All internships are not paid, but non-residents of Jacksonville will receive a daily stipend to offset meal expenses. Also, a place of residence will be provided if the applicant does not live in the area. Daily journal entries will be required so that we may asses the applicant’s progress. Upon completion, a joint evaluation will be completed by the intern and Five Alive Films.
