Web Design Internship - Blu Wave Productions

Students in the 11th and 12th quarter of their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Web Design & Interactive Media are eligible for an unpaid internship. For an internship to qualify for academic credit it must provide the student with the following:
• 90 hours of work over an 11-week quarter (approximately 16 hours per week). It is recommended that full time students work no more than 15-20 hours per week to responsibly manage their class schedule.
• Supervision and access to hardware and software required to fulfill internship duties
• Experience relevant to the student’s program of study; utilizing the skills and competencies of the respective program
• The Supervisor will be expected to provide ongoing training and approve a weekly log of internship hours. Mid-term and final performance evaluations are also required.
This unpaid internship will include working in a fast paced digital production environment. Learning about production of online creative, including static, flash and video based banners, some web development and any other day-to-day tasks involved in those above-mentioned areas.
Students should be proficient in the following software:
- Adobe CS3 Package: (illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point
- Dreamweaver CS3
- Flash CS3
- NotePad
- Program Language: CSS, HTML, JAVA
